VP4 Harman Navigation Radio Repair (2011 to 2018)

Send us your unit, we repair it, you plug it back in

If the Harman navigation system in your Jeep, Chrysler, Jeep has stopped working, Module Medics can fix it. We specialize in repairing factory VP4 Harman infotainment and navigation head units, restoring failed units to full working order with a professional bench level repair.

Your original head unit is married to your vehicle VIN. That means a used unit from another car cannot simply be installed in yours. To run a replacement unit you would normally have to visit the dealer for online coding, a software update, and the installation of every license file tied to your VIN.

Repairing your original unit skips all of that. You get your own unit back, fully repaired, already coded and programmed to your VIN, with no extra steps. Plug it back in and drive. That is the whole point of our service: you ship us the unit, we repair it, and we send it back ready to use.

Common symptoms we repair

Customers usually find us after searching for problems like these. If your Jeep/Dodge  shows one or more of the following, this repair service is for you:

  • Will not power on or completely dead
  • Stuck on the Jeep logo or boot screen
  • Constantly rebooting or restarting in a loop
  • Black screen with sound still working
  • No sound or no audio output
  • Screen flickering, dimming, or going dark
  • Touchscreen not responding or unresponsive in spots
  • Ghost touch or screen registering presses by itself
  • Frozen or locked up screen
  • Display showing lines, distortion, discoloration, or a pink or purple tint
  • Backlight failure or very dim display
  • Buttons or hard keys not working
  • No navigation or GPS not locating the vehicle
  • No Bluetooth or phone pairing failure
  • No radio, AM, FM, or SiriusXM not playing
  • USB or media inputs not reading

  • Random shutdowns while driving
  • Overheating or shutting off when hot
  • Water damage or liquid spill into the unit

If your symptom is not listed, send us a description anyway. The list above is the most common, not the only failures we see.

Common part numbers affected

The numbers below are commonly seen on VP4 and RA4 8.4 inch Harman units and on the earlier RHB MyGIG High units. Suffix letters such as AA, AB, AE, AF, AG, AH, AJ, and AK indicate hardware or software revisions and are all candidates for repair. Your number is printed on a label on the unit itself, often starting with a "P" prefix.

  • 68270661 (AE, AF and related revisions)
  • 68312543 (AD and related revisions)
  • 68190240 (AB, AG and related revisions)
  • 68211955 (AF, AI and related revisions)
  • 68224525 (AE, AH and related revisions)
  • 68164641 (AG, AH and related revisions)
  • 05091051 (AC, AD, AE, AF, AG, AJ, AK and related revisions)
  • 68417861 (AG, AK and related revisions, later 8.4 units)
  • 68403065 (AA through AE and related revisions)
  • 68461750 (AA, AD and related revisions)
  • RHB MyGIG High units (2011 to 2013 Grand Cherokee and Durango)

Please note: this is not a complete list. There are many more part numbers and revision codes than we can list here, and FCA released numerous superseding numbers over the production run. If your part number is not shown above, that does not mean we cannot help. Send us the exact number from your label and we will confirm fitment and repair coverage.
